Announcement - Db2 on Cloud Geo-Replicated Disaster Recovery Throughout March, Db2 on Cloud will roll out Geo-Replicated Disaster Recovery functionality. With this new feature, clients can add a Disaster Recovery Node in a different region from their primary instance, on-demand. In the rare case of a region outage due to unforeseen circumstances, clients can shift their workload to this Disaster Recovery node. After the primary site is brought back online, clients can revert back to their primary site. The new Geo-Replicated Disaster recovery functionality enhances the existing HA functionality, which uses Db2's HADR SYNC and ASYNC node technology to provide availability and reliability within a client's primary region. The feature is currently only available with HA plans. Please see the administrator tab of your Db2 on Cloud console to request this feature. Containerization and Webinar - New IBM Db2 Click-to-Containerize utility IBM Db2 Click-to-Containerize is a new application designed to help users move from a traditional Db2 deployment to a containerized Linux cluster. This tool is currently being offered as a technical preview and is not intended for production environments.
